Feedy Needy distributes food hampers throughout Kwa-Zulu Natal

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected many homes and Feedy Needy stepped in from initial lockdown to assist many disadvantaged homes with grocery hampers.

The Feedy Needy team based in Phoenix, has reached out to many areas like Pmb,Newcastle,Ladysmith,Escort,Empangeni,Tongaat,Verulam, Chatsworth,Merebank,Stanger,Ricards Bay and areas in the South Coast;Umzinto,Umkomaas,Park Rynie,Port Shepstone,Isipingo.

The organisation will continue to help as requests are flooding in. It’s sad to hear about the harsh impact this Pandemic has caused.

We now have to help wherever and however we can to help flatten the curve.

Feedy Needy together with kind sponsors, are making a great impact, and what better way to achieve that, than to play our part in feeding families that are less fortunate.

The hampers each comprise of nutritional items such as lentils, vegetable, fruit, canned fish and beans and staple food like rice, maize, porridges, milk, oil, teabags, and coffee, we also added some biscuits, cake flour, noodles spices, and other essentials.

Provision for toiletries and detergents have been made. Staff and volunteers will adhere to best practices of adherence to social distancing, wearing of masks, hand sanitising and other health protocols while distributing the food parcels.
