As the auspicious occasion of Diwali approaches, the Feedy Needy organization handed out Diwali hampers to indigent families in the area, as it is tradition. Public Relations Officer of Feedy Needy, Reena Rampersad, said, “As much as we reach out to the less fortunate throughout the year, it is on special occasions that they need that little dose of added compassion. We strive to give that to them and make the day special for those in need.”

Recipients from areas in and around Durban graciously turned up in their numbers to receive the much needed grocery hampers consisting of twenty items, which included freshly baked bread and fresh vegetables.

Dedicated staff from the organization worked tirelessly from early hours of the morning ensuring the recipients had freshly prepared hot meals as the hampers were handed over.

Feedy Needy extends a hearty thank you to all sponsors and staff for making this outreach successful and possible year after year.
