We at Feedy Needy want to help children throughout Kwa-Zulu Natal, children and adults who are victims of abuse and those that have been abandoned and are facing hardships daily, children who probably go to bed without a meal. We want bring back the hope and dignity because we know they have lost their self-esteem and respect.

To accomplish this we need to provide them with motivational books, self-empowerment with our in house social workers and health speakers as well as provide them with clothing, groceries, hygiene packs as well as sandwiches and freshly cooked meals daily.

Many of the difficulties that children face, affects them and their education, has a major impact on them and disturbs them mentally and emotionally.

Feedy Needy is a Non – Governmental organization that have been in existence for the past ten years. During its years of operation it has reached out to the poor of poorest communities. Our work is not only restricted to the Phoenix Community, but throughout the province of Kwa Zulu Natal. Feedy Needy is not funded by the Department of Social Development or any other Government Funding. Our source of funding is from private departments, local businesses and individuals; however this is becoming stagnant as there are many little organizations that mushrooming in the community. The number of beneficiaries are extensively increasing at an accelerated space as we take our services to the peripheries of the Province of Kwa Zulu Natal. Despite the lack of funds, the organization continuously endeavor to produce quality service. Our services are not limited to race, color, religion, gender or creed and every service recipient is served with sheer respect and inherent dignity, without expecting anything in return. We operate on a budget of approximately annually. Feedy Needy spearheads the following projects:

 Promoting sustainable livelihood through workshops.

 Education and training

 Milk formula and diaper distribution

 Orphans and vulnerable children (twice a year)

 Feeding programme (throughout the year – ongoing)

 Hamper distribution (monthly)

 School uniforms and stationery (annually)

 Blankets and winter clothing (annually)

Wheelchair campaign (ongoing)

Children with rare medical condition. (When the need arises)

Feedy Needy assists families with milk formula and diapers as well as cereals for babies and toddlers that are autistic and intellectually impaired. These families come from disadvantaged homes and do not have basic necessities to maintain and sustain their livelihood , these recipients are on the boundaries of being poverty stricken. Feedy Needy assists these families every month and they receive grocery hampers, clothing and food for their infants. We do not take pictures of these distributions because the families do not appreciate their infants identities being disclosed as they are embarrassed of their situation and as a non-profit organization that strives to bring dignity back to the lives of our indigent children we have to protect them in every way. We do however advertise some of our other major campaigns and distributions which can be viewed on our website and the local newspapers.
